Marie Unger serves as President of Emergenetics® International and STEP, LLC, which is the Student/Teacher Emergenetics Program. Marie joined Emergenetics® International as Vice President of Education in 2013 and became a Master Associate in 2015. Since joining the team, Marie has conducted numerous seminars and certifications with thousands of business leaders, educators and students around the world.
Previously, Marie was a teacher, school principal, Human Resource Director and Director of Elementary Education for Douglas County School District, the third largest school district in the state of Colorado. As school principal, Marie’s schools received numerous honors and distinction from the State of Colorado for Outstanding Achievement and Academic Growth. 5280 Magazine declared her school one of the Top Elementary schools in the state of Colorado. In her leadership roles, Marie successfully implemented STEP in her school and with district leaders to support student achievement and teacher development.
Marie graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Communications and an emphasis in Elementary Education. She obtained her master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Education Administration.
In her spare time, Marie enjoys spending time with her husband, Rich, and their two children, Brooke and Abby. Marie’s hobbies include sports, exercise and enjoying the beauty of her home state of Colorado.
