Karen is Chief Financial Officer of Emergenetics International and manages internal operations for the corporate office in Denver, CO. She oversees the company's global financial strategy and day-to-day financial and accounting activities and has been instrumental in the expansion and direction of Emergenetics for the past 10 years while serving on the company's Executive Team. Prior to joining Emergenetics International, she was a Project Lead in Material Finance for the F-16 Program at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin and worked in public accounting/finance firms in Texas and Colorado.

Karen graduated with honors from Abilene Christian University in 1984 with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance. She and her husband J.P. are founders of the non-profit, For The Children, Inc., which funds programs for local Childrens Homes. She enjoys boating, hiking and camping in the Colorado outdoors with her family and new German Shepherd, Kona.
