Emergenetics Profile Assessment
Emergenetics is a unique profiling tool that provides a clear window into the way you think and behave. The Emergenetics Profile is a scientifically-based, statistically accurate instrument that outlines your personality in a visually appealing, easy-to-understand format. And…with hundreds of thousands of people profiled already…you know it works.

Formulated by Geil Browning, Ph.D. and Wendell Williams, Ph.D. in 1991, the Emergenetics Profile is built on years of work focused on personality and the brain, including doctoral research at the University of Nebraska, post-doctoral research at Harvard University, and industry research and testing. Based on a split-brain model developed by the Nobel prize-winning neuropsychologist, Dr. Roger Sperry, the Emergenetics model is focused on four different thinking attributes that compose a left- and right-brain concept. Additionally, the Emergenetics Profile measures three behavioral attributes, as during the development process it became apparent, through extensive research and market assessments, that the interplay between thinking and behavior was integral to truly understanding oneself.

In addition to measuring thinking and behavioral preferences, Emergenetics is built on scientific evidence which points to the necessity to factor in both nature and nurture in the debate about human development. Studies have consistently shown that people’s genetic background is influenced by their environment and life experiences. In this way, Emergenetics was developed to specifically test and assess the way personality emerges through life experiences from the building blocks of genetics.

What does this mean for you and your business? What kind of results will you see with Emergenetics?

  • The ability for people to value their strengths and understand more about themselves…which means increased employee morale and higher productivity.
  • The ability for a group of people to understand more about each person and the group as a whole…which equates to stronger, more effective teams and work groups
  • The ability for an organization to capitalize on a collaborative workforce…which creates cognitively diverse and results-oriented teams
  • The ability to provide real, meaningful dialogue and information about the way a person works and goes about their work…which translates to a better platform to capitalize on employee strengths
The Emergenetics Profile is designed to provide a straightforward, focused approach that translates responses from a scientifically determined list of questions to an individualized report. The Profile yields results that are evident and applicable within any context as it addresses root preferences, facilitating an easy adaptation process to mesh Emergenetics technology into an organization’s existing structure.

Without ties to a particular industry or job function, the Emergenetics Profile portrays a detailed measure of personal preferences and the way they manifest themselves in thinking processes and behavioral tendencies. Emergenetics is then applicable and valuable across industry or discipline, both as a standalone piece and in conjunction with other products. Learning Emergenetics theory and utilizing the Emergenetics Profile provides participants with the power to:

  • Learn basic skills to improve job performance.
  • Enhance personal productivity and improve communication.
  • Understand personal motivational drivers for learning and apply this information to a work environment.
  • More accurately pinpoint strengths and interests based on a heightened knowledge of personal preferences.
  • Understand how behavior affects others and translate this knowledge into more confidence and self-acceptance when working with others.
“Understanding oneself is the key in becoming a leader and Emergenetics is the foundation of that discovery process. With Emergenetics, you gain the knowledge of how you think and behave and how you approach work, and that becomes a bridge to understanding others and ultimately to becoming a stronger leader.”
